The new Mac mini

What makes a Mac mini? Well, the Mac mini starts with a sleek aluminum design. The Mac mini features an all-new, 1.4-inch-thin aluminum enclosure called the unibody. It is a seamless enclosure carved from a single, solid block of aluminum. The Mac mini has a built in power supply, so it takes up less space. It also has a removable bottom panel to make it easy to upgrade your memory. The Mac mini is also very quiet and the fan works well and efficiently. The Mac mini also features the HDMI port and Mini DisplayPort. A built-in SD card slot helps you transfer videos and photos from your camera. The slot-loading SuperDrive is used for playing DVDs and CDs. The Mac mini has unlimited possibilities. Just plug in a mouse, keyboard, and display and you are all set. The Mac mini uses the NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics and speedy DDR3 memory. It runs 2x faster than the previous Mac mini. The latest 802.11n wireless technology is built in and it also has Bluetooth wireless technology built in.

The Mac mini comes with everything necessary for email, browsing the internet, calendars, contacts, etc. It uses Mac OS X Snow Leopard. iPhoto organizes your photos by the people in the photos. iMovie helps you make movies with ease. GarageBand can give you instructions on how to play an instrument. Since the Mac mini runs Mac OS X Snow Leopard, it isn’t susceptible to PC viruses and is already secure and up to date on security. The Mac mini is also more sustainable by being more energy efficient and free of toxins such as PVC and BFRs.

The Mac mini may look small, but it has so many different features and programs. You can do so much with something so small and it is very compact so it uses less space. Folders, Unclutter your life

Folders, how they organize our lives like no tomorrow. Without folders, our lives would be so cluttered, paper flying everywhere and we still can’t find that one paper we need. The same goes with our iTouch, iPhone, or iPad. Our home screen and other pages have so many apps it takes awhile to find one. That why Apple has created folders for us to use. Our home screens are always cluttered with so many apps that it’s difficult to find one app that we really app. Of course there is the search button for your use, but sometimes finding the app is easier then typing it in. Using folders are very easy actually. All you do is hold onto an app until the screen starts shaking. Then you hold onto an app and drag it onto another app. It will automatically make it into a folder. From there, the folder can hold up to 12 apps and you can also rename the app.

I personally love the use of the folders. It clears up my home screen and makes my iTouch look better. Other people like the use of apps because it makes them look like they have more apps. Which is technically does, but it definitely matters on your own choice. Everybody likes something different, but I prefer the folders. The ease of use stares at you in the face. It speeds up the process looking for apps. It also gathers all the same items of the same likeness and puts them into a folder.

Info on the iOS 4.2 update

[wikichart align=”right” ticker=”NASDAQ:AAPL” showannotations=”true” livequote=”true” startdate=”28-05-2010″ enddate=”28-11-2010″ width=”300″ height=”245″]

Apple has a reputation for releasing huge amounts of information at once, and they certainly didn’t let us down this time. Apple has just announced about a dozen new software improvements for Apple portable devices. Well, I should be more specific than that. Apple states that the iOS 4.2 is compatible with these following devices:

-iPhone 3G

-iPhone 3GS

-iPhone 4

-iPod touch second generation

-iPod touch third generation

-iPod touch fourth generation

-and of course the iPad

These updates range anywhere from tracking your device to making your personal notes in different fonts. Obviously, some are more sought after than others, and a full list and description of each update can be found online in http://www.apple.com/ios/. However, it is still great that Apple gave us these new updates for a number of reasons.

  1. Hey, it is free. Who can really complain about that?
  2. It is easy to access. All you have to do is sync your device with the computer.
  3. You can do more. Sure, it didn’t completely change the experience of owning one of these devices, but it certainly allows you to do more. Never before could I wirelessly stream off of my Apple devices onto my TV at home, or even wirelessly print off of my device. These are great improvements and should be noted as such.

Now lets be honest. These updates are amazing, and most importantly, free. So have fun downloading them and testing them out and stay tuned for more Apple news.
